MerchantCantos and AIGA teamed up to put on “Comics Sans: A Creative Comedy Show and Mixer.” The idea behind the show was a night of comedy “sans” all the things that annoy designers (e.g. vague feedback and being asked to make things pop.)
Attendees drank custom cocktails, such as the “Sex on the Spinning Beach Ball of Death” and “DIN & Tonic.” On a screen, a video cycled through all of the different “Comics Sans” lines. I worked with MerchantCantos team to create everything, from the coasters to the drink menu to the animation.
